Inland Saltwater Lakes

Once the Great Salt Lake has filled to capacity and it is proven that additional rainfall has been produced, the area of Great Salt Lake will be increased to double its current size. The  area of the salt flats near Bonneville Raceway will be kept dry.

A second Salt Lake is being proposed south of Interstate 80, Southeast of Wendover. The new lake will be approximately 2,000 square miles or 1,280,000 acres in size and is expected to produce even more rain in the area.

Additional salt lakes will be built in other states and these will all be filled via pipelines from the Pacific Ocean. If the salinity in the water is stable, salt water fish can be introduced into the lakes and can be a food source for birds in the area. Recreational fishing will also be available to the public.

Humboldt Nevada is an area where a 150,000 acre salt lake could be built and an additional 12,000 acre salt water lake could be built near Rochester, Nevada.

If all of the newly created salt water lakes can produce enough additional rainfall in the interior, the desalination plants might not have to run all of the time.
